However, as tantalizing as the naked bodies may appear, the figure’s hard plastic and artificial joints remind the viewer that the figure is indeed a doll devoid of life. This is the current state of China’s brand name driven society – pretty and decorated on the outside, yet hollow and mechanical on the inside.
